Now that South Florida's tourist/snowbird season is winding down, new restaurant openings are slowing down too. March didn't see much movement, but a few notable openings and closings happened. Now that South Florida's tourist/snowbird season is winding down, new restaurant openings are slowing down too. March didn't see much movement, but a few notable openings and closings happened.

Last month we lost a few familiars: recent favorites like the Bao Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale will be reopening later this year under a new name. Meanwhile, we're still patiently awaiting a few new concepts set to open this year, including Big Time Restaurant Group's Louie Bossi's, Tap Co.'s Tap 42 in Boca Raton, and Bar Rita in Fort Lauderdale.
