If you're crazy for camarónes, then today is your lucky day. A Brazilian-based chain of fast and casual shrimp-focused eateries will be opening its third location in Boca Raton today, part of a $20 million expansion plan beginning in South Florida with more coming in Texas and California over the next year.

Known as Vivenda do Camarão in Portuguese, the original Shrimp House was founded in 1984 in the Sao Paulo neighborhood of Brazil by restaurateur Fernando Perri. While there are more than 100 Shrimp House locations across Latin America, the Boca Raton Shrimp House located in the Town Center Mall will be the chain's third U.S. outpost after its Coral Springs and Miami restaurants. Future locations include West Palm Beach and Orlando.

The Boca Raton location in the food court will be unique, offering counter service as well as conventional sit-down service. As for food, the restaurant features -- you guessed it -- shrimp. Farm-raised Brazilian shrimp, to be exact. They are served in a variety of ways, more than 20 dishes in all priced under $12, from traditional Brazilian dishes with rice and shredded potato chips or french fries, to risottos, salads and pasta.

For shrimp, try the authentic Brazilian-style dish hailing from the country's northeast region known as moqueca. It's served with a special tomato and coconut manioc, a fish sauce seasoned with cassava, coriander, parsley and palm oil from the dendê palms native to Brazil. If shrimp isn't your favorite, the menu also features several seafood-based dishes, including a paella that uses a traditional Spanish recipe with cream, shrimp, squid, octopus, seashell, peas, saffron, pepper, turmeric and tabasco pepper.

The Shrimp House is located at 6000 Glades Road at the Town Center of Boca Raton. For more information visit the website at www.shrimp-house.com, or call 561-
