After years of better burger chains popping up left, right, and center, you'd imagine some of the momentum would kind of fade away. It's not; it just keeps chugging along, actually.
South Florida-based fast casual burger concept BurgerFi is marking its territory yet again, this time on the busy international thoroughfare of 17th Street Causeway, three miles or so from its Sunrise Boulevard location.

With an expected opening date in the last week of October, the new location will offer the same custom-made burgers, specialty hot dogs, hand-cut French fries, massive onion rings, frozen custards and concretes, craft beer, and wine that can be found throughout the chain.
Just like every other location, this one will offer indoor and outdoor seating.
"This is a smaller store, similar to our Davie location," said franchisee Nicholas Falcone, who owns both the Sunrise and Davie stores with his brother Daniel. "It's a great location for us, kind of like an end-cap; it has a very good ability for plenty of outdoor seating."
Although the area already has two other "better burger" concepts in close proximity -- the flagship Shula Burger and a Five Guys Burgers and Fries -- the Falcones aren't worried that will negatively affect business.
"We like competition," said Falcone. "We feel so strongly about our brand, we feel like having other brands in the area people will come to know and appreciate us."
The Falcones own the Miami-Dade County territory for BurgerFi franchises, but they traded out Aventura for the Fort Lauderdale and Davie locations.
"We love Dade County, because it's a high congestion area," said Nicholas Falcone. "We decided to start with Fort Lauderdale, though, because there was more availability for great locations when we first started. It was much less pressure than going straight into Dade."

BurgerFi will be located at 1465 SE 17th Street Causeway in Fort Lauderdale.
