Yesterday, Sawgrass Brewing in Coral Springs closed its doors for good.

Norm Lehman and his crew have closed as of April 1, according to industry sources. On Monday night. the website for Sawgrass contained a pop-up that marks the last day as March 31, and a phone call to the establishment confirmed that it will no longer be open as of midnight, though no other details were given.

"Sawgrass Brewing says farewell, Tuesday March 31st starting @ 4pm till close," the notice read. "$2.00 drafts and free food. Say hello one last time!"

Lehman opened the brewery, then called Tampa Bay Brewing Co., in 2013 after acquiring a licensing deal for the name with John and Vicki Doble, owners of the 20-year-old Tampa Bay Brewing Co. in Ybor City. The name was changed to Sawgrass Brewing Co. last October.

The brewery itself holds a seven-barrel brewhouse composed of a 3.5-barrel tandem system that has produced beers such as No Dave's American Pale Ale, Chocolate Porter, and Gin-Oak IPA.

There's no word yet on what — if any — future plans Lehman has for Sawgrass Brewing or what led to the brewery's demise.

Sawgrass Brewing Co. was located at 1221 N. University Drive in Coral Springs.
