Pembroke Pines residents will have a new lunch and breakfast spot when Corner Bakery Cafe opens its doors on Monday, December 10 at 6:30 a.m. The restaurant, serving fresh baked goods, is planning some giveaways to mark the occasion.

The restaurant, located in the Cobblestone Shopping Center (14810 Pines Boulevard), serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, in addition to sweets and coffees.

Though the restaurant has "bakery" in the title, health nuts shouldn't be discouraged. The cafe offers 100 different combos under 600 calories each, like mom's turkey sandwich and chicken noodle soup, ham pretzel sandwich and Caesar salad, or chicken pesto sandwich and mixed greens. Most lunches are under $10.

Set your clocks early, because the first 100 guests on Monday morning will receive a free commemorative Pembroke Pines Corner Bakery travel mug and free daily coffee refills for one year -- which should make your commute on I-75 just a little better.
