wners Haiz Miller and Damian Phillips had to offer.
At the time, the truck was fresh-out of its most popular dish -- the $6 jerk chicken club sandwich with fries. To find out what was causing this local feeding-frenzy, we had to head back for a taste of our own.
Here's the deal...
The Caribbean-themed eatery-on-wheels first hit the Palm Beach County scene last month, debuting with a Jamaican-heavy menu. Cooked the authentic, island-style way, the jerk chicken sandwich continues to be a hit -- and a steal -- for a full meal with your choice of side for under $10.
Warning: May Cause Jerk Addiction
This isn't your average jerk chicken sandwich. Out of Many starts with a super-soft bun, toasted and prepped with Haiz's own spicy-sweet jerk mayonnaise. Next, it's piled-high with banana-leaf smoked chicken, fat chunks of dark and white meat cooked to tender perfection, and handsomely peppered with a strong dose of Miller's own jerk seasoning. It's finished off with a slice of melted swiss cheese (optional), lettuce and tomato.
The end result is a sandwich that is satisfyingly full of flavor and texture, starting with the snap of fresh lettuce and the rich, creamy cheese and mayo taste explosion that gives way to a fragrant blast of smokey-heat from jerk-infused chicken.
"Side" Note: Be sure to ask Miller for an extra container of jerk mayo for dipping and dunking -- especially if you opt for the piping hot fries as your side.
