Delray Beach's Korin Sutton Is a Finalist in PETA's Sexiest Vegan Next Door Contest

Sexy vegans are all over the place: in the gym, shopping the veggie aisle at Publix, gracing magazine covers, and even living right next door. Hence the idea behind PETA's Sexiest Vegan Next Door contest. Plant-based sex appeal is everywhere!

The animal advocacy org has narrowed this year's pool down to ten women and ten men, and one of each is from South Florida. Korin Sutton of Delray Beach is in the final running, as well as Pembroke Pines' Aisha Thalia. 

"I'm always looking for other ways to be able to spread the message of animal rights and living on a plant based diet," Sutton says. "I've been on internet radio shows, magazines, and different vegan websites spreading the message so individuals can be inspired and live a healthier and more compassionate lifestyle."

Melina Borrero of MZNA Magazine told him about the contest last year during a photo shoot, so he decided to enter. Winning the PETA contest would give him another platform to inspire people and break the many myths about being vegan, he says.

So why is Sutton vegan?

"Being vegan is one of the most compassionate and healthiest lifestyles an individual can live," he explains. "Why filter nutrients through another animal while you can get all of the nutrients that you need through the soil of the earth? Life is life, and pain is pain. All living species bleed the same and feel the same, and we should share the Earth with more compassion and love."

Sutton was in the military for eight years and has participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom III and IV. He's also a pro vegan bodybuilder and an ISSA Master Trainer and has a degree in exercise science. 

"Through my experience traveling the world and learning the aspects of health and fitness, I've realized that we should live more compassionately and love one another," he says. "And if we can show that by eating more plant-based foods and not condoning the death and cruelty of other animals, we can all live a healthier and happier life."

Sutton is a personal trainer at Equinox Aventura and offers 12-week transformation programs that include nutritional coaching, meal plans, and personalized workout plans (in case you want to look like him, and who wouldn't?!). In his free time, he's into stand-up paddleboarding, yoga, meditating, bodybuilding, riding bikes, playing videogames, reading books, and playing racquetball.
