Denny's is an American institution. Don't believe us? Chances are there's not one person reading this that can't attest to driving in for Grand Slam breakfast at 2 a.m. at some point.

One of the busiest locations in Fort Lauderdale is the Denny's on the corner of North Federal Highway and Commercial Boulevard.

This location democratically serves everyone from club kids to EMS workers to people heading for an early morning fishing excursion.

Now, that iconic location that served the community for nearly 45 years reopens its doors today, April 24 at 9 a.m., after an extensive face life. The newly remodeled location will feature a beach mural in keeping with its neighborhood feel.

To kick off the festivities, Denny's will reward the first 100 diners through the door, starting at 9 a.m., with free original Grand Slam breakfasts, which include two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs cooked to orfer, two bacon strips, and two sausage links.

The celebration continues throughout the day with a free Classic Burger & Fries given to the first 25 lunch guests to drop by the restaurant beginning at noon, and a free entrée for the first 25 dinner guests to dine at Denny's at 6 p.m. Hundreds of additional prizes will be given away during the day-long celebration.
