The Dinner in Paradise series continues this Sunday, April 1, with the fifth in a series of six charity-driven, six-course farmers dinners served under the stars. Host/chef Michael Schwartz, of the just-opened Michael's Genuine Food & Drink, welcomes what I think might be the best guest chefs of the year: Tim Andriola of Timo, Sean Brasel of Touch, and Michael Bloise of Wish.
The meal, priced at $150 per person (including tax and gratuity), is made with local, organic products, and paired with complementary wines. Paradise Farms in Homestead provides a bucolic outdoor setting, and the farms' owner, Gabriele Marewski, is a most gracious co-host. Money from the dinners goes to Le Cordon Bleu cooking school and Earth Learning, a group dedicated to eco-literacy and sustainability in the Everglades.
The last Paradise dinner takes place on Sunday, April 22, with guest chefs Giancarla Bodoni (Escopazzo), Larry LaValley (Mark's South Beach) and Jason Schneider (Bizcaya at The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove). Visit here further information, or to make reservations, call 305-573-5550. --Lee Klein
