Due South Brewing Expands Distribution, Plans Statewide Domination

This week, Due South Brewing Company announced it has expanded its regional footprint yet again with a move into three new territories.

As of Monday, July 18, craft beer lovers in Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Ocala can taste the Boynton Beach-based brewery's most well-known beers for themselves: Caramel Cream Ale, Category 3 IPA, and Category 5 Imperial IPA.

The three year-round beers represent the core of Due South's brand, making them the logical gateway brews for distribution, but plans are already underway to roll out seasonal beers as well. 

"Obviously, we're thrilled to be able to share our beer with more folks around Florida," says Mike Halker, president and head brewer of Due South Brewing Co. "Our goal is to someday provide everyone in the Sunshine State with Due South beer, and expanding into these areas gets us that much closer."
Last year, Due South expanded distribution to Central Florida, meaning cities like Orlando, Sanford, Oviedo, Altamonte Springs, Apopka, and Winter Garden could pour beers including Category 3 IPA or Caramel Cream Ale, while tourists could find them around theme parks like Universal and Walt Disney World.

The latest distribution area makes Due South available in 14 Florida counties —  from Monroe in the Keys to Leon in the panhandle — unsurprising for Palm Beach County's largest production brewing facility and one of the largest in South Florida, brewing up to 7,000 barrels this year.

The brewery is also looking forward to getting renovations underway for the expansion of their production facility, an adjoining space that will nearly double the current facility's size for a total of 27,000 square feet. The added space will allow for an indoor beer garden, a spacious air-conditioned taproom, and a special reserved area for barrel aging and a sour beer program.
