Father's Day is Sunday, June 17. For many families, that means backyard or beachside barbecues and other meaty affairs. If you don't have the facilities or inclination to put together a holiday meal on your own, Father's Day in a restaurant in Broward County may be the easiest option.

The Father's Day special of note is a USDA prime bone in rib eye for $29.95. Reservations are strongly recommended.

- Chima Steakhouse, 2400 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-712-0580

This pricy Brazilian steakhouse will serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended and the restaurant won't accept coupons on Sunday, June 17.

Brunch will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a buffet featuring more than 40 items and a complimentary mimosa or bloody mary. Dinner is 4 to 11 p.m. with a prix fixe menu (with choices like black Angus prime rib or veal chop) or the option to order from the regular menu. Live music on the patio from 5 to 9 p.m.

This high-end steakhouse chain will offer a three-course prix fixe menu for $69 per person. Reservations highly recommended.

This restaurant located inside the W Fort Lauderdale will serve brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Brunch includes dishes like maple-and-bacon-glazed beignets ($8), an omelet with lobster, chives, and fontina ($18), or deviled eggs with pickled radish salad ($10). Dinner options include nori-dusted tuna steak with watermelon, pea shoots, wasabi peas, and lime vinaigrette ($33) or a 22-ounce dry-aged prime rib eye ($67). The restaurant also will offer a special cocktail for the holiday; the double Windsor is a combo of Galliano L'Autentico, Pimms No. 1 Cup, and Cocchi Americano layered with Tuaca.
