Sometime a while back, someone realized that you could lure visitors and residents to spend money in certain areas just by getting restaurants to offer deals.

It's spending to save -- absolutely brilliant.

Just like New York Restaurant Week, dineLA, and Miami Spice, Palm Beach County has its own series of restaurant deals this month. Through the entire month of September, Flavor Palm Beach has rounded up restaurants all around to offer three course prix fixe lunches for 20 bucks, and the same sort of dinner for $30 to $35.

Obviously, there are way too many to try them all -- and hopefully you've hit some up already -- with just over two weeks left, it's time to create a game plan. To help you narrow it down we picked out the five best deals for Flavor Palm Beach.

5. 3800 Ocean

This Singer Island spot is offering choice of three appetizers, five entrees, and two desserts. You can start with either artichoke bisque, grilled peaches and baby lettuces, or crispy calamari. Move onto Cajun rubbed pork loin chop, herb roasted Murray's free range half chicken, wok charred salmon, spinach and fresh ricotta ravioli, or horseradish crusted sirloin steak. Finish with chocolate mousse cake or strawberry shortcake. With apps on the lighter side, you'll have plenty of room to get you through the five entree options; and that should take you from hungry to satiated pretty quickly.

3800 Ocean is located at 3800 N. Ocean Drive in Singer Island. Call 561-340-1795, or visit palmbeachmarriottresort.com/dining

4. Imoto at Buccan

If you're looking to go Japanese, chef/partner Clay Conley's Imoto is offering Flavor guests a mixed bag of four appetizers, four entrees, and just one dessert for 30 bucks. Start of with curried beef wontons, tuna crisps, rock shrimp tempura, or Imoto salad. Second course comes with your choice of udon noodles with char siu pork, rock shrimp, fava beans, and bok choy; full spicy tuna roll; half California roll with jonah crab, avocado, cucumber, and garlic aioli; or grilled wagyu shortrib. A green tea mille crepe cake is for dessert. Between the different app and entree options, it shouldn't be hard to find something to get you going.

3. Red, the Steakhouse

The restaurant is offering three appetizers, Brad's Stuffed Hot Peppers, French onion soup gratinee, a classic caesar salad; three entrees, 6 ounce aged certified Angus Filet with steak frites and Diane sauce, wild salmon or fish of the day, or pappardelle bolognese; and two desserts, including peach cobbler or a triple chocolate sundae. With a variety of options to chose from, Red is a great option for those looking for a well-rounded or just plain old gluttonous meal. Time to offer to take someone out for a steak dinner.

2. Cafe Boulud

If Daniel Boulud's name is attached to something, you know it's going to be good -- and freaking expensive as hell. Not this month; the restaurant is offering guests three diverse choices of appetizer, including chicken liver mousse with red onion marmalade, chilled tomato soup with dill crème fraîche, and baby greens with marinated melon, candied pistachio, and yogurt dressing; three entrees, grilled cobia, culotte de boeuf grille with onion compote, crispy pommes frites, and roasted chicken with artichoke "grand mere," and three pastry chef prepared desserts, such as chocolate raspberry sacher with raspberry sorbet; seasonal crème brulee; and floating island with lemongrass ginger anglaise and candied ginger. Lunch guests get three picks from another prix fixe, as well. The dinner is $35. Here you'll find a decent amount of options that could easily appeal to anyone who like eating -- and you know it's going to be damned good, regardless.
