The Place: Morton's The Steakhouse - Three locations in Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
The Hours: Daily, bar only. Boca, Fort Lauderdale: 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.; 9 p.m. - close. West Palm Beach: 5 p.m. - close.
The Deets: Select wines, beers, Morton's "Mortinis" - the restaurant's take on specialty drinks, and selected appetizers, including Jumbo Lump Crab, Spinach and Artichoke Dip.
The Scene: Morton's bar is beautiful. The Fort Lauderdale location has a long bar on one side with scattered high-tops on another, with a few booths in the back overlooking the streetwalkers on their way to downtown Las Olas. If you come with the office crew, the scattered TV's let you considerately ignore your annoying co-workers.
The Cost: $4 for selected beers, including Sam Adams Seasonal, Bud, and Bud light. $5 for selected wine, $7 Morton's Mortini's (made specifically for their "Power Hour" Happy Hour), and $5 for selected appetizers.
The Verdict: Even if you consider it a higher-priced Happy Hour, the prime cheeseburgers (or sliders) and the spinach dip done right are worth the splurge. With crafted martinis, mojitos and cosmo's, Morton's provides a great after-work wind down. With the late-night Power Hour option, it's hard to miss out.
