In what is, as far as I know, the first chicken pilot program in South Florida, Lake Worth organizers are looking for people to participate in an effort to teach chickens to fly fighter jets. Or, er, I must've misread that. Actually what they want to do is create a program that will designate a few Lake Worth residents to raise chickens as a kind of experiment. The chicken pilot people will be testing out the guidelines of the proposed chicken ordinance that failed to muster a majority of votes  at a recent City Commission meeting.

Want to raise chickens? Well don't fly into this too fast. Stage one of the pilot program involves identifying participants and gathering community support for a new ordinance to go before the commission.
