Summer in West Palm Beach has just gotten a little cooler with the announcement of the first ever Palm Beach Craft Beer Festival.

On July 28 from 4 - 9 p.m., head over to the Meyer Amphitheatre and sample as much brewski as you want from a mind (and gut) boggling selection of over 100 craft beers from more than 30 different brewers including Florida favorites Cigar City, Due South, and Tequesta Brewery.

For $30 in advance ($40 at the gate), attendees will receive a

five-ounce tasting glass and be set free to try new favorites and frosty

old friends.

A VIP ticket ($70 in advance, $80 at the gate) gets you

into the fun at 3 p.m. for an extra hour of beer time, a complimentary

glass beer stein, and commemorative t-shirt. VIP'ers will also have

access to a special lounge, private bar, and cigar garden.

If you

make your own beer at home (and we salute you if you do), enter your

"special recipe mango-bacon ale" in the home brew contest for a chance

to win Whole Foods gift cards or a first prize of $500.

Take a

food break at one of the local restaurants and food trucks that will be

serving up some grub or try your skill on the surf simulator. Hot air

balloon rides, live music by Ketchy Shuby, Guy Harvey, the Resolvers,

and Papa E will keep you entertained all evening.

The entire

event benefits the Surfrider Foundation and the Loggerhead Marinelife

Center -- because beer always tastes better when it's for a good cause.
