On last night's episode of Glee, one of the characters discovers Jesus' face on his grilled cheese, introducing us to "Grilled Cheesus." While this fictional event may be the most famous occurrence of the messiah's mug appearing on food, it's definitely not the first. More than 2,000 years after his death, the almighty one continues to appear to his followers, mostly on dishes.

Incredibly, nobody has ever spotted poker player Chris "Jesus" Ferguson on their French toast or Beatles guitarist George Harrison on a hot wing, even though both of those guys look a lot like what Jesus supposedly looked like.

Here's a list of Jesus' favorite foods to appear on. This list, however, is pure speculation. An interview request sent to grilled-cheese Jesus was never even acknowledged.

5. Fish sticks
The man who performed the miracle of loaves and fishes appeared on a fish stick in 2003. Fred Whan of eastern Ontario (that's Canada) noticed Jesus' face on a burnt fish stick. After keeping the fish stick in his freezer for years, he decided to try to sell it on eBay, but the auction website denied him. Although he wasn't able to make some cash on his holy fillet, Whan's discovery did inspire a short film that very few people have seen.

2. Tortilla
The one that started it all. Back in 1977, long before you could make a small fortune selling your miracle food on ebay, Jesus decided to pop up on a tortilla. Maria Rubio was making her husband breakfast when she found a thumbnail-sized image of Jesus on a tortilla. Visitors from all over came to the small town of Lake Arthur, New Mexico, to see the holy tortilla, which was kept in a shrine. According to RoadsideAmerica.com, the tortilla was severely damaged in 2005 when Ms. Rubio's granddaughter brought it to school for show and tell. While the original may have been broken by some brats in school, Jesus has shown up on quite a few other tortillas recently.
1. Grilled Cheese
Jesus has called the toasty goodness of a grilled cheese home numerous times as well, not even counting  last night's episode of Glee. He's possibly following in his mother's footsteps -- a grilled cheese that appeared to have an image of the Virgin Mary went for $28,000 on ebay. The multiple grilled cheese appearances have inspired someone to create GrilledCheeseJesus.com to be the Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John of holy sandwich cameos.
