Jugofresh Expanding to Whole Foods in Boca Raton

Calling all cold-pressed juice and smoothie lovers: Miami-based Jugofresh will bring its line of cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, and plant-based snacks to Boca Raton later this month. This is the grand opening of the company's first Palm Beach County store.

The latest Jugofresh retail location will be set inside the Boca Raton Whole Foods Market and will start selling its products on Monday, November 9. Whole Foods Market Florida's regional president, Juan Nunez, says the partnership is an extension of earlier collaboration efforts between the two companies, which launched the first Jugofresh shop-in-a-shop at Whole Foods Market in downtown Miami in January. 

According to Jugofresh founder and CEO Matthew Sherman, the partnership with Whole Foods Market is part of his mission to partner with like-minded community businesses while growing the brand across South Florida. This marks the tenth retail location to open inside a Whole Foods Market location. It follows the August opening of Jugofresh Fort Lauderdale.

Thirsty yet? Good. In the days following the grand opening on November 9, the Boca Raton Whole Foods juice bar will be featuring in-store demonstrations and samplings of its future Jugofresh menu lineup including dozens of fresh juices and raw mylks cold-pressed and delivered daily, as well as a short menu of made-to-order smoothies, açaí bowls, and premade raw food snacks. 

You can also find the brand's new line of Holy Water drinks, a total of four beverages (not juice) formulated to energize and hydrate. Like Gatorade for the "all natural" crowd, each Holy Water has an alkaline water base with additions like chopped whole aloe leaf, chlorophyll, Himalayan sea salt, or blue majik — an organic blue-green algae extract.

On opening day, you'll want to get to the Whole Foods Boca Raton early (it opens at 8 a.m.). The store will give away gift cards — each one worth anywhere from $12 to $500 — to the first 100 customers.

At the juice bar, customers can also receive a $5 eight-ounce green drink known as the "Shorty" during Jugofresh's first week of operation (while supplies last). No matter what time you stop by, however, you'll be drinking toward a good cause. Ten percent of proceeds from Jugofresh's first day of sale will be going to the company's "Lil’ Gardens, Big Future" program benefiting elementary-school green gardens across Miami-Dade County.

To celebrate the latest Jugofresh retail outlet partnership with Whole Foods Market, there's even more good food vibrations coming to Palm Beach County. The company's executive chef, Darren Laszlo, will join Sherman to host a special plant-based food and juice pairing dinner on Thursday, November 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Farmer's Table (1901 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton). 

The menu will offer a "consciously curated" plant-based meal that will highlight the best of the season's bounty. Dinner will be served with mocktails, organic wine, and cold-pressed juice pairings. Tickets are $80 per person and can be purchased online at Eventrbrite.com.  

Jugofresh in-store samplings and demos will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, and again from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, October 29. From November 1 to 8, demos and samplings will continue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. All customers attending demos and samplings will receive a "feel good card" that entitles them to one free juice at Jugofresh Boca Raton.
