Kapow Noodle Bar in Boca Raton and Funky Buddha Brewery are partnering to create an awesome beer pairing dinner on Tuesday, July 23.

The dinner, which features a four course meal created by Kapow's chef Caleb Holman paired with five Funky Buddha brews, will have two different seatings, at 6 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.

John Linn, brand director for Funky Buddha, told Clean Plate Charlie he expects this dinner to knock one out of the ballpark, with a special menu that features one-time culinary creations not featured on the regular Kapow menu and Funky Buddha exclusive limited releases or variations on their flagship beers.

Linn said that, as far as pairings, he's really looking forward to a few.

"We made a Pineapple Hop Gun with hundreds of pounds of whole fruit pineapple, which will pair with lamb chops with a pineapple rosemary sauce, and our No Crusts PB&J beer has that salty-sweet combination of peanuts and jam, which should pair nicely with the fried bananas and honey/fig gelato dish. But I'm probably most looking forward to the braised pork belly with arugula, candied walnuts and blue cheese with OP Porter. I'm a sucker for all pork belly, and I've done a few pairings with OP and blue cheese - the two are just perfect together."

The full menu, with beer pairings, includes:

First Course: Chile/lime leaf Beer Nuts Paired with Ginger Lemongrass Wheat

Second Course: Braised Pork Belly and Arugula Salad with candied walnuts, and blue cheese Paired with OP Porter

Third Course: Grilled Lamb Chop with rosemary pineapple sauce and arroz con coco

Paired with Hop Gun IPA

Dessert: Fried Cinnamon Sugar dusted Bananas with a fig and honey gelato

Paired with No Crust PB&J

The dinner is $40 per person (plus a $3.19 service fee) and is available for purchase through Eventbrite. The dinner consists of the four course meal, five beers, a Funky Buddha Brewery commemorative glass, and gratuity.
