A drunk man with a backpack full of weapons threatened to blow up Buccan last night, reports the Palm Beach Post

John Hughes, 40, caused a ruckus at the bar and restaurant last night at 9:30 at the eatery named New Times' Best New Restaurant in Palm Beach for 2011.

Hughes grew increasingly agitated with the staff and threatened them, harassed customers, and eventually passed off the weapons to a hostess to hold.

He fled on foot to the next stop on his crawl, the Brazilian Court Hotel, where police arrested him drinking in the lobby. He was charged with threatening to set off a destructive device as well as disorderly intoxication while causing a public disturbance.

Update: The charges have since been dropped.
