Mellow Mushroom Launches Sunday Brunch in Delray Beach

Sunday brunch is a beautiful thing. Sunday brunch at a pizza restaurant is an even more amazing event.

Luckily, you can get both now thanks to Mellow Mushroom. The restaurant's Delray Beach location will be kicking off the start to summer — and celebrating the restaurant's seventh anniversary — with a new brunch menu. Mellow Mushroom Delray Beach will be the first Florida location to offer pizza for breakfast, and is now one of only a few franchise locations nationwide to be offering a brunch menu.

"Brunch is very popular now in South Florida, and especially Delray Beach,” said Ron Platt, owner of Mellow Mushroom Delray Beach. "Our customers have been asking for a brunch option for a while now, so we are excited to finally deliver a creative, fun and delicious Sunday brunch menu fit for a 'Mellow Morning'."

Beginning Sunday, May 17, Mellow Mushroom Delray Beach will launch a new brunch menu available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu will feature more than a dozen new, hand-crafted cocktails; more than 25 new craft beer selections; and five new wines. All guests that arrive the first two Sundays (May 17 and May 24) will also receive 50 percent off each new food and drink brunch menu item.

The expanded brunch menu includes mimosas, bloody marys, and Irish coffee. For food, expect a new line up of breakfast pizzas with scrambled or sunny side up eggs; the Classic with an oil and garlic base featuring bacon, eggs, sausage, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, mushrooms, and chives; the Veggie with mushroom trio, eggs, spinach, feta, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and avocado; the Western with ham, eggs, mozzarella, green peppers, onions, cheddar cheese, and mushrooms; and the Morning After with bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, jalapenos, and chives.

There will also be several breakfast burritos, each served with salsa and sour cream, and an optional side of beer cheese for $2.99. The Dudes Burrito features ham, eggs, cheddar cheese, onions, sausage, green pepper, and diced tomatoes, and the Sweet Breakfast Dude offers Mellow’s signature pretzels with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and cinnamon sugar.

In addition to brunch, Mellow Mushroom is also upping the ante on their weekly happy hour specials by now offering $4.20 drafts every day from 3 to 7 p.m., and adding Tuesday Night Trivia to its weekly schedule beginning May 19 at 7:30 p.m.

New hand-crafted cocktails to be added to Mellow’s everyday drink menu include several margaritas, aBarbados Berry Punch, smoked Old Fashion, and a number of new martinis. All hand-crafted cocktails and martinis are $2 off from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
