New Times' Pairings 2015: Come to Our Free Fork & Balls Pop-Up

New Times' Pairings returns to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on September 10, and it's going to be the best party of the year. If you're looking to celebrate early — or want a taste of what's to come at Pairings — we're throwing a free pop-up party at Fork & Balls on Thursday, August 20, where attendees will receive a promo code to get $10 off admission to Pairings.

If you haven't been, then think of Pairings as Tinder for food and drink. You see, while great dishes and fine wines are wonderful on their own, they're better when hooked up properly. So, we take bites from about 40 of South Florida's best restaurants — like Cafe Maxx, SuViche, YOLO, and Hardy Park Bistro — and pair them with fine wines, beers, and spirits for the evening. Pairings also features live entertainment, cooking demos, and appearances by the top chefs in Broward and Palm Beach.

From 7 to 9 p.m., come out and enjoy complimentary appetizers from Fork & Balls, paired with fine wines from Wine Watch, the official wine curator of Pairings 2015.  

Admission to this 21-and-over event is free, but space is limited, so you'll need to reserve your spot. Just visit ticketfly.com and print out your complimentary tickets for the party. 

Speaking of Pairings, you still have time to take advantage of our special presale offer. Through August 15, general-admission tickets for Pairings are only $35 each. From August 16 to September 9, tickets cost $40; at the door, tickets will cost $55.

VIP tickets include early entrance to Pairings at 6 p.m. and a special VIP lounge with exclusive restaurants, live entertainment, and special wines, craft beers, and spirits. VIP tickets cost only $65 during the special presale through August 15, $75 from August 16 to September 9, and $90.50 at the door.

Voices for Children of Broward's mission is to ensure that every abused, neglected, and abandoned child in Broward County has a court-appointed guardian ad litem and that financial resources are available for each child's health, educational, and social needs. Through its programs, these children are paired with someone who makes them feel normal, safe, and cared about and removes barriers so they can have a happy childhood.
