New Year's is supposed to be all about setting the tone for the following 365 days.

For the most part, life is mundane -- you want to make sure to up your chances of keeping it special and interesting.

That could mean going all out with some heavy drinking; it could be eating a luxurious meal; it could be trying out a different kind of cuisine.

Whatever "special" means to you, we have five places with offerings to make your holiday memorable for the rest of the year.

Chima Steakhouse

Opting for all-you-can-meat meat is usually an occasion in-and-of itself. Why not get meat drunk for New Years Eve? This Las Olas Brazilian Steakhouse is holding two seatings; the 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. seatings includes a glass of champagne and the Rodizio and Salad Bar for $65 per person or a glass of champagne and the Salad Bar plus two grilled fish choices for $45, kids are $26.50. For $180 per person, the 10 p.m. seating includes the Rodizio, salad bar, dessert bar, open bar, and a champagne countdown with live music in the courtyard. Reservations are required.

Chimney House

After holiday shopping and parties chances are you're on a budget. This downtown Fort Lauderdale spot is offering a budget-conscious menu to ring in 2014. For $40 per person after 7 p.m., $35 per person beforehand, the restaurant is offering three courses with multiple options for each, such as shrimp ceviche, empanadas, grilled ribeye, arroz marinero, Spanish flan, and more. Plus, you can walk to Himmarshee to watch the craziness when your done.

American Social

The holidays can be freaking expensive; this Las Olas spot is offering New Years revelers a break on the wallet. The bar is hosting a free Great Gatsby-themed party for "fly guys" and "flappers" with music by DJ ESP and DJ Skitty, drink specials, complimentary passed hors d'oeuvres, and a free glass of champagne at Midnight.

Kapow! Noodle Bar

Let's be real here: New Years is about drinking more than anything else. With no cover, a la carte food, and unlimited drink options, it's kind of hard to beat if you're looking to get your drink on; from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m., the bar is offering all-you-can-drink well for $35, premium options for $45 per person, and rock star options for $55. The Office

In addition to its regular gastro pub menu, the Delray Beach spot is offering a number of high-end specials such as, lobster bisque with poached Maine lobster - $12; Belgium endive salad with white grapes, candied walnuts, goat cheese, and lemon vinaigrette - $14; Malpeque Oysters served with cucumber-cilantro vinaigrette and cocktail sauce - $18; cheese board with smoked gouda, Moliterno truffle cheese, Drunken Goat Cheese, honeycomb, Marcona almonds, and jalapeno-kiwi jam - $18; bouillabaisse with yellow tail snapper, mahi mahi, sea scallops, and mussels, in a saffron-fennel-tomato broth - $38; and more. The restaurant will be giving away party favors and champagne at midnight.

Vic & Angelos

Italians are known for living the sweet life; you should try to get a piece of that for 2014. to ring in the New Year right, both locations are offering specials -- some expensive, some not -- in addition to the regular a la carte menu. Delray is offering fresh peach and heirloom tomato salad served with handmade burrata cheese and micro-green basil drizzled with aged balsamic reduction and basil-Infused extra virgin olive oil ($22); watercress and red Beet salad topped with crumbled gorgonzola and walnuts with red wine vinaigrette ($18); all natural half-chicken under a brick served over herb-roasted red bliss potatoes and smoked paprika lemon sauce ($39); risotto with fresh organic chanterelle mushrooms topped with shaved black truffle ($38); and more. Palm Beach gardens is serving up heirloom tomato caprese with heirloom beefsteak tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, frisee, arugula, olive oil, and aged balsamic glaze ($16); Blue Point oysters with cocktail sauce and horseradish ($18); frogs' legs Provencal ($18); simply grilled swordfish with lemon vinaigrette, broccoli di rabe, tomato bruschetta, and aged Balsamic glaze ($36); and more.
