South Florida’s only indoor craft beer festival is happening this Saturday, July 25 — and it's all happening in the beautiful air conditions indoors.

The Palm Beach Beer Fest will also feature a silent disco dance floor, a slew of food trucks to choose from and live music from Parachute, The People Upstairs, The VMK & The Snack Pack. When asked what else the Palm Beach Beer Fest has to offer, Show Producer and Event Manager Jennifer Cartwright added, “Over 200 craft beers being poured. We concentrate heavily on our local breweries as well with over 12 local breweries featured onsite.” The fest is not just limited to beer, however: there will also be a Bourbon tasting area and cigar rolling feature.

The festival wasn’t always this large, though. The fest was started in 2013 by Palm Beach Broadcasting and Digity Events with 100 craft beers, and no food trucks, Bourbon tasting or cigar rolling.

This year, however, is a different story. A grand total of 70 brewers will be pouring over 200 beers. Featured brewers include Rekorderlig Cider, Blond Ale Face, Abita, Cigar City Brewing, Goose Island, Rouge and more.

“Each year we plan to add more beers, more V.I.P. perks and great music,” explained Cartwright.

The fest is not limited to the professionals. Twenty hopeful home brewers will compete to be the King of the Home Brew, with the best brewers taking home cash and prizes.
“We look forward to the Palm Beach summer beer fest all year,” said Peter Agardy of Saltwater Brewery. “It comes at the perfect time of summer, and provides a great inside air conditioning event where people can really focus on enjoying the beers without worrying about the heat. As a main sponsor, we are very happy with how the event has grown and look forward to the larger space for the drinkers this year as well. They really do a great job of spotlighting local beer for their promotions and radio as well.”

Tickets are $40 for general admission ($55 day of fest) and $75 for VIP tickets ($100 day of fest). General admission includes craft beer sampling, concert and entrance to all gaming and entertainment areas. The VIP ticket includes exclusive beer from Saltwater Brewery, Barrel of Monks, and Twisted Trunk. Also included in the VIP ticket is access to the delicious food buffet, custom event tee shirt, glass beer mug and premium cigar. Partial proceeds will go to Little Smiles of South Florida, a non-profit 501(c)3 children’s charity to help those children in local hospitals, shelters, hospices and facilities.

The Palm Beach Beer Fest is from 1 to 5 p.m. at the South Florida Fairgrounds, located at 9067 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach. Visit PalmBeachSummerBeerFest.com.
