Palm Beach Summer Beerfest 2016: Dozens of Breweries, All in Air Conditioning

The Palm Beach Summer Beerfest returns this year on Saturday, July 23 with two sessions, from noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Like many festivals in the area, it's a 'pay once and enjoy' unlimited craft beer sampling event, but unlike many festivals this one is indoors.....

The Palm Beach Summer Beerfest returns this year on Saturday, July 23, with two sessions, from noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Like many festivals in the area, attendees just pay once to enjoy unlimited craft beer sampling, but unlike many festivals this one is indoors — in the air conditioning!

Forget the sunscreen and the big floppy hat as the South Florida Fairgrounds (9067 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach) hosts this single-day party sponsored by 103.1 WIRK, 97.9 WRMF, and a host of other local radio stations.

For the 2016 edition of this festival, there will be a plethora of national brands to mingle with our local and regional breweries, including Uinta Brewing Company, Ballast Point, Dogfish Head, Rogue, and Stone Brewing Company.

Expect to find a litany of local breweries, with these guys slated to make an appearance: Barrel of Monks Brewing, Saltwater Brewery, Funky Buddha Brewery, Due South Brewing Company, Tequesta Brewing Co., Wynwood Brewing Company, Twisted Trunk Brewing Co., and Hollywood Brewing Co.

In previous years, the Palm Beach Summer Beerfest has been the place to find a spread of beer styles ranging from gluten-free to IPA to stouts to cider, and this year appears no different. This time, however, there will be a lot of food to help wash everything down. Food Truck Invasion is going to get down and dirty with eight different trucks to help appease your appetite.

Tickets are $40 in advance, with the price escalating pretty steeply at the door to $55. It doesn't pay to be lazy. More details are available over on the Beerfest website. Cheers!
