Attention people of south Florida. You may want to put down your pastrami sandwiches for a moment (or forever) after we introduce you to Emron Khan, who has been chosen as a finalist in PETA's Sexiest Vegan Next Door contest.
The annual contest pretty much shatters all those "milk - it does a body good" ad campaigns by showcasing some mighty fine ummm....tofu-cake in the form of beautiful men and women who all happen to be vegan.
Over 100 sexy vegans entered the contest, which offers the sexiest man and woman a free trip to Maui (one sexy island), with 20 finalists remaining -- one of them hailing from south Florida.
27 year-old Plantation resident Emron Khan has been a vegan for eight years. His goal is to become a doctor specializing in healthy vegan eating. Currently studying plant-based nutrition and working at a local emergency room, he's also into training in mixed martial arts. In fact, Khan studied kickboxing in Thailand.
Khan is a vegan because, "animals don't deserve to die while other healthier and more sustainable food alternatives exist."
We just know that if he made us a big plate of kale, we'd be there in a hearbeat!

Maybe these vegans and vegetarians are on to something because last year, 46 year-old Pembroke Pines resident Malik Kalonji was named a finalist in the same PETA contest. Makes you think about trading in that burger for broccoli, doesn't it?
