Ugh, it's Monday again. We're sorry to break it to you, but your weekend is officially over. It's time to get it together and get back to business.

While weekday inconveniences -- also known as work -- might force you to drag yourself out of bed at an ungodly hour, there are still plenty of reasons to get excited throughout the week. From hunky men -- and possibly women -- butchering meat to multiple beercentric events, it looks like it's going to be an entertaining food- and drink-filled week in South Florida. All the more reason to get excited for the workweek.

Monday

Boys Keep Swingin'

Are you looking for an inexpensive way to show some appreciation for Dad? You could always cook dinner for him -- that is, if you actually know how. Whole Foods Market in Boca Raton wants to help. On Monday, for just $10, the store is hosting a cooking class to teach participants how to create a healthy and delicious meal for Dad. Clos du Val Winery

Monday is the perfect day for drinking wine. Virginia Philip Wine Shop & Academy wants to help with the consumption this Monday. It's hosting Clos du Val Winery with its regional sales manager, Tanna Massar, who will guide guests through five wines from the historic property. Open-Mic

Have something to say? Let it out Tuesday night at Dada's Open-Mic Night. Every Tuesday -- except the first Tuesday of the month -- the restaurant opens its microphone to anyone who wants to perform. Moonlight Affair

Urban gardens are the new "in" thing. Jump on the trend and good cause by helping Flagler Garden grow at the Moonlight Affair fundraising event Wednesday from 7 to 10 p.m. The event is raising funds for phases two and three of construction. Tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 at the gate. It includes live DJ, silent auction, groundbreaking previews, cocktails by Zonin Prosecco, and hors d'ouevres by Whole Foods Market. American Social's First Birthday

American Social is hitting its first birthday on Wednesday. To celebrate, the Las Olas spot is holding five days of special events, and you're invited to all of them. On Wednesday, it's hosting a Cigar City tap takeover with a Master Brewer and Cigar City gurus. Thursday it's a Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. with a live DJ afterward. Friday it's live music by Steve Chumley from 7 to 10 p.m. with DJ Eran Hersh spinning from 10 p.m. onward. Saturday will feature a special brunch menu with music by DJ Supersede -- the Miami Official Dolphin DJ. Sunday will host another brunch. Needless to say, the bar is definitely going all out. Divalicious Evening

Were you born to be a diva? If so, then let it out, girl, at Tee Jay Thai and Sushi in Wilton Manors. Food Truck Invasion Wellington

Rev up your appetites, because the Food Truck Invasion is taking over Wellington. On Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m., the bimonthly event will feature numerous food trucks at the Wellington Amphitheatre. Featured trucks include Bite Gastrotruck, Grill Master Café, Palate Party, and Sweet Sensations. The roundup is free to attend, but food will be available from individual trucks. Whole Foods Butcher & Fishmonger Face-Off

Butchering is almost a lost art -- and we bet it's an art at which you are not adept. Watch the professionals at the Whole Foods Florida Regional in at the Whole Foods Market Boca Raton Thursday at 11 a.m. Top butchers and fishmongers from several Florida stores will have 15 minutes to cut their respective meat and fish. Funky Buddha Release Party & Tap Takeover

If you're not stoked about the expansion and opening of the Funky Buddha Brewery, you're obviously not into the local beer scene. Tap 42 is celebrating the Buddha's evolution with a release party on Thursday.
