This week everyone is all Craft Beer Week this and Craft Beer Week that, including us because, obviously! Don't get us wrong, we love our craft beer, but there are other food and drink related events going on this week and we thought some of you might like to know about them.

Monday

How to Prepare the Perfect Meal

Is your favorite dish to prepare ramen noodles out of a packet? If so, you should probably do something about that. Chef Jean-Pierre's Cooking School can help with its How to Prepare the Perfect Meal class. The course takes students through the process of creating a three-course meal for $68. The two and a half hour class starts at 7:30 pm on Monday. Call (954) 563-2700.

Amateur Cooking Competition

Have you ever dreamed about being on Top Chef? Chances are you wouldn't make the cut, but its okay to fake it. Le Bistro is hosting an Amateur Cooking Competition and Dinner on Monday starting at 7 pm. The cost is $50. Advance registration required and you must let say whether you want to compete or just eat. Call (954) 946-9240. Call to reserve ASAP.

Rare Spirits Dinner Pairing

Again, if you're looking to get away from this week's ample beer and food pairings, Rebel House is hosting a spirits dinner pairing Monday at 7 pm. The cost to attend is $65 per person. Click here to purchase tickets. Call (561) 353-5888.

Tuesday

Wine Immersion Course

You drink wine. You like it. But do you actually know anything about it--other than it gets you drunk? If so, you probably don't know that much--and yes, we're talking to you Mr. Wine Snob. Well, here's your chance to know what you're talking about. Virginia Philip Wine Shop and Academy is holding an 8 week wine immersion course starting Tuesday at 2 pm, which will take students through the basics of production and tasting: it will help students prepare to take the Court of Masters Sommelier test. The course is $995. Call (561) 721-6000.

Tuesday Dance Party

Dancing should be reserved for the weekend. Put on your dancing shoes--or, well, shoes--and dance the night away at the Pavilion Grille. A $10 cover gets you a dane lesson and dessert. Dinner service begins at 6 pm. Call (561) 912-0000.

Wednesday

Health Starts Here: Amazing Asparagus

It might make your pee smell funny, but it's good for you health. Whole Foods Fort Lauderdale is hosting a healthy cooking class with you guessed it, asparagus. Healthy Eating Specialist Mark Mattson will be highlighting some dishes from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The cost to attend is $5. Call (954) 565-5655.

Thursday

Do You Believe in Love Tribute to Cher

We don't know if you believe in love, but we do know that drag queens love Cher. Starting at 7 pm on Thursday, the lovely ladies of Lips will be performing a tribute show for the one and only, Cher. The event benefits the Poverello Foundation. The cost is a $10 cover, plus food. Call (954) 567-0987

Taste of Boynton Red Carpet Event

It's probably never going to happen, but you can still pretend to be a celebrity at the Taste of Boynton's Food and Wine Red Carpet Event. From 6:30 to 9:30 pm on Thursday, the affair will combine the red carpet with wine from across the world and food from local restaurants, such as Little House, Tapas Lantana, the Backyard, and more. And, unlike, most high profile events tickets are only$40 in advance, $50 at the door--imagine how that compares to the Academy Awards. It takes place at the Indian Spring Country Club, 11501 El Claire Ranch Rd. in Boynton Beach. Call (561) 732-9501, or email [email protected].

Summer Wine Cool Down

Summer is here: you might as well accept it. To help ease you into it, Hot Peppers Restaurant is hosting a summer wine cool down tasting event. It is free to attend. Call (954) 404-9704.

3rd Thursday Wine Tasting

Sometimes you just can't wait until Friday to jump on that bottle glass of wine. Well,

is trying to help with its 3rd Thursday Wine Tasting event. This month, the spot is featuring a Nicolas Feuillatte champagne reception to introduce 'O' wines. The event takes place from 6:30 to 8 pm. The cost is $25, which also includes light bites. RSVP in advance here.
