Home Brew Class at Craft Beer Cartel
Beer brewing isn’t just for the pros: At Craft Beer Cartel (557 SW 12th Ave., Fort Lauderdale), you can do it too. Professional brewer and brewery consultant Alex Postelnek will teach attendees how to make their own deliciousness, starting at 1 p.m. Also featured are pizza, pita chips, and hummus from Riverside Market. Buy tickets at SquareUp.com.

Barrel of Monks First Birthday
Barrel of Monks Brewing (1141 S. Rogers Circle, Suite 5, Boca Raton) will turn a year old. Unlike typical 1-year-olds, it is celebrating with a giant beer party. Along with its own special releases, there will be guest tappings from Cigar City Brewing, Due South, Saltwater Brewing, and more. There will also be games and a dunk tank. This event is from 2 to 6 p.m. Admission is free with the exception of VIP, which — if still available — will be $50 at the door. Read about the full beer list, including those rare special releases only available to VIPs here. Visit EventBrite.com.

Cocktails for Humanity
General Provision (525 NW First Ave., Fort Lauderdale) will allow guests to drink, be merry, and donate to a good cause. This event starts at 6 and ends at 11 p.m., perfect for all you FAT Village Art Walk frequenters. Proceeds from drinks will benefit the Ghost Light Society, which supports arts-in-education programs at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Visit GeneralProvision.com.
