There must be something very Zen in the air. How else to explain all of the shakeups with the various Buddhas in southern Palm Beach County? First up, comes a tip from reader Charlie Byrne (a Delray Beach gourmand with his ear to the ground) who this weekend sent Clean Plate Charlie an image of the Atlantic Avenue storefront last occupied by the departed SpoonFed.

It appears something called Buddha Garden will open in the space which sits below Buddha Sky Bar. The project -- presumably by the same owners -- has a projected opening date of November 2012. There's no mention of this on the Buddha Sky Bar's website or Facebook page, but Clean Plate Charlie will be looking into the opening to see what it means for Buddha Sky Bar.

Meanwhile, Boca Raton's Funky Buddha Lounge (no relation to Delray's Buddha Sky Bar) dropped a major news bomb on Friday. The microbrew has found a home in Oakland Park for a new 18,000-foot Funky Buddha Brewery. According to the Buddha's blog, the company had invested in equipment before securing a space to accomodate its new 30-barrel system. They said they plan to start brewing in early 2013. There was no clarification of what this means for the Boca Raton bar and lounge, but again, Clean Plate Charlie is on the case.

Stay tuned for more "coming soon" news later this week.
