Did you know that July is National Ice Cream month? To celebrate this monthlong extravaganza of frozen delight, Sloan's Ice Cream is asking customers to give them their best Blue Steel or Magnum by submitting a photo of themselves at any Sloan's location through its Facebook page, from July 1 through19.

In case you needed an excuse to whip out your selfie stick, Sloan's wants you to grin for the camera so you can be invited to its ice cream social on Sunday, July 26 at the City Place location in West Palm Beach, from 2 to 5 p.m. Every fan who strikes a pose will be given a limited edition ticket for a free scoop of ice cream at the social. And if your photo is extra special, it might even be posted on Sloan's other social media channels.

"Sloan Ice Cream is proud to announce the ice cream social event for the month of July," says David Wild, Director of Franchising at Sloan's. "We're excited for fans to come to our stores, and we can't wait to meet our fans on July 26."

For a chance to win, just complete these six simple steps:

1. Take a photo of yourself in any of Sloan's stores
2. Go to Sloan's Facebook page
3. Submit the photo in the "Sloan's Selfies" tab
4. Share the photo to your own timeline
5. Receive exclusive ticket to the event
6. Come to Sloan's City Place location for free ice cream

Although Sloan's has celebrated National Ice Cream month since its inception, this event was organized so they can socialize with their customers in one location rather than spreading the celebration across stores. Since word-of-mouth is what has helped Sloan's grow as a brand, this is Sloan's way of giving back to the community — by rewarding those who have helped Sloan's become what it is today.
