There is a new brewpub in Broward, the Tampa Bay Brewing Company Tap House in Coral Springs, and they are hosting their grand opening party tonight.

The festivities begin at 7 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by the Celebrity Mug Club auction, where staff will be auctioning off mugs and a Mug Club membership (a $40 value).

The auction is held to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the foundation.

The Mug Club gives exclusive access to limited-edition beers brewed by the company. Membership itself is limited to 750 members and is granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.Other benefits include $5.75 everyday pints and $4.75 for 23-ounce mug beers.

Coral Springs and Tamarac mayors Vincent Boccard and Beth Talabisco will be present at the ribbon cutting. Coral Springs vice mayor Tom Powers, as well as Tamarac commissioners Diane Glasser and Pamela Bushnell, will also be present as guest auctioneers.

The Tampa Bay Brewing Company Brewhouse opened for business last month in Coral Springs on February 13. The company itself was founded in 1996 by the Doble family.

With one Tampa brewpub making a move in South Florida, perhaps more would like to follow suit and open brewpubs somewhere in the Broward-Palm Beach area.

The tap list of TBBC beers includes: Old Elephant Foot IPA, One Night Stand pale ale, True Blond Midnight Crossing Black IPA, Winger Citris pale ale, Moose Killer Barley Wine, Mc Brews Scotch ale, Red Eye Amber ale, Double Ambe ale, Jack the Quaffer porter and Belgian pale ale. The company also brews root beer.

The Coral Springs tap house location does not have a kitchen, however they use Wings Plus in Coral Springs as their food vendor
