In the ghost town formerly known as the Riverwalk shops near the movie theater, marketing and merchandise guy Robbie Barnes has been planning to open Tap and Cork, a craft beer, wine, champagne, and sake bar in the bones of what was once his clothing store.

Tap and Cork will offer

snacks such as beef jerky and "higher end packaged goods,", which translates to the reality that this is a place to booze. "We're putting together our cocktail list of creative drinks with sake and champagne in particular," said Barnes.

Sports bar by day and club vibe at night was how he described the space, for which he plans on  booking dj's and live music for the wee hours.

Barnes is in the process of securing the space next door to allow for an expansion before the year's end.
