Tiger Woods is gearing up for his next hole-in-one. The golfer is rebranding and unifying his many current and upcoming business ventures, including his nonprofit and golf course design company, under one rebranded umbrella company, TGR. That includes The Woods Jupiter, which recently marked its first anniversary.

New Times got the details on how this would affect The Woods Jupiter from Woods himself via email:

New Times: Can you tell us about TGR and what changes, if any, have been made to The Woods Jupiter to embrace them?

Tiger Woods: As part of TGR, The Woods Jupiter will feature a newly designed logo. Although other businesses within TGR will be using a new name, the restaurant will remain the same in honor of my dad Earl and my children, after whom it's named.

I'm thrilled with the success we've enjoyed in our first year, and TGR is a great reflection of what we do at The Woods Jupiter — provide a premium experience that's also fun and relaxed. I'm proud of the staff, and I'm happy the local community has embraced it so much.

The Woods Jupiter has been a big success since opening in August 2015. How do you envision it being better under the TGR umbrella?

TGR is my umbrella brand that will unite and strengthen what we're doing now and any possible businesses I may pursue in the future. TGR will allow the restaurant to utilize the resources and talents of our other entities, including TGR Live, my foundation, and TGR Design. At the same time, The Woods can support everything else we do by providing unique expertise and an outstanding team.

What inspired you to open a restaurant? How are you in the kitchen?  Ready to win Chopped?

I eat a lot better than I cook.

This is something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I was included in every step of the process. That's the way I do things. We've been very fortunate that The Woods Jupiter has been a tremendous success and people really enjoy it. We have big crowds, and the comments I've heard have been extremely positive. We have a unique concept, outstanding food, and a great staff that provides exceptional service. It's everything I had hoped for. I think we've had a positive impact in the community. We're also involved in our area with a TGR Learning Lab for the students at Murray Middle School in Stuart.

The restaurant is named after your father, Earl Woods. What do you think would have been his favorite item on the menu?

It's also named after my kids Sam and Charlie, making it a complete family effort. My pop was a special operator in the army, and he was a meat-and-potatoes guy. I know he'd love the steaks.

How often do you get to visit your restaurant, and what is your go-to dish?

My kids, friends, and I love eating there, so I'm at the restaurant a lot. It's my place and I really enjoy it. I like meat and potatoes too, but the salads, seafood, and desserts are also great.
