Two local South Florida chefs are competing in a fiery battle to see who has the best grill skills in the Walmart Choice competition.

The grill-off, sponsored by Kingsford charcoal and Coca-Cola, will have the chefs of Miami's Red Fish Grill battle it out in a head-to-head competition to see who can make the best steak.

Greg True will try to smoke his fellow sous chef Erik Sierra in the competition.

The steak challenge, which features the chefs cooking Walmart's new

high-quality Choice steaks, will be held in the parking lot of the

Walmart Supercenter on Turtle Creek Drive in Coral Springs on Friday,

April 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Shoppers will not only be

treated to a live cooking show but they'll get to try the steaks and vote

on who gets the title of South Florida grill master.

Coral Springs is one of eight cities selected for the Walmart Choice Steak Challenge. The other cities holding challenges are Tampa, Houston, San Antonio,

Dallas, St. Louis, Nashville, and Atlanta. The winning chef from each

city will compete in the finals in New York City on May 22.

Walmart Supercenter #1387, 3801 Turtle Creek Drive, Coral Springs.
