Are we safe anywhere anymore?

Orlando's Wesh.com is reporting a wheelchair-bound man was stabbed a handful of times in the abdomen at a McDonald's restaurant late Christmas Day.

38-year-old Jerry Tyson first tried to take the man's money. When the victim wouldn't budge, Tyson stabbed him several times in the torso. The victim, whose name hasn't been released, was taken to an area hospital where he later died. Even stranger is Wesh.com reporting that McDonald's employees knew both men.

Police tracked Tyson into nearby woods with a K-9 unit where he was caught and taken to the hospital to treat dog bite injuries. Tyson was charged with second-degree murder, robbery and resisting an officer with violence.

Fast food chains seem to be an easy target. Earlier this month armed robbers ripped off a pair of Miami Burger Kings, using the drive through window as the entry point. Police couldn't confirm whether the two incidents were related.

Video surveillance from the restaurant showed a man in all black jumping through the window and emptying the register with a gun in hand.
