For the kid who's obsessed with Anthony Bourdain or the one who asks for a Waring blender for Christmas, there's the Art Institute's Best Teen Chef Competition for high school seniors.

And for high school graduates who are thinking of a career in the restaurant world, there's the Culinary Scholarship Competition. Each of these competitions gives participants the opportunity

to earn scholarships to the International Culinary Schools at the Art

Institutes: $4,000 for the Best Teen Chef winner, $1,000 for the

second-place winner in the high school senior category, and $1,500 for

the first-place winner of the high school graduate category.

To be eligible to enter the competition, entrants must submit an entry

and release form by February 3 to the Art Institutes location of their

choice. Deadline for completed entries into the competition is February

24, 2012.

Selected entrants will progress to Local Cook-Off Competitions at the

International Culinary Schools at the Art Institutes in April.
