No. 53: Bruschetta from Noodles Panini
This dish ought to come with a warning. Something like: "Don't order this appetizer if your idea of bruschetta is a tiny piece of bread with a measly pile of tomatoes." This dish at Noodles Panini comes heaping with the stuff, piled onto a loaf of bread baked with mozzarella melting over the top. It's fairly impossible to avoid making a complete mess as you cut slices into the loaf, but part of the fun is reassembling the slices with heaps of bruschetta. As for the topping, it's a simple affair: tomatoes, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. But then, what more does bruschetta need? Certainly not those tiny pieces of bread. We'll take the heaping kind, thank you.
