No. 54: Tulipan’s Guava and Cheese Pastries
Most Tulipan Bakery & Cafe customers come for one thing: that little cup of heaven they call a cortadito. “Algo más?” the Tulipan ladies ask after delivering those shot glass-sized coffees. Oh, yes, one more thing. We’ll take an order of guava and cheese pastries, those perfect, flaky popovers filled with sweet-savory cheese and tart guava jelly. The glaze makes them perfectly shiny and crispy, giving way to that tender center. Algo más, indeed.
