No. 83: Milk Shake From Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlor

For over 50 years, Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlor has been dishing daily-made, frozen treats on Federal Highway in Dania Beach. You could make a legitimate argument that any of its sundaes, waffle cones, floats, and banana splits could be listed among our 100 favorite in South Florida. But the milk shakes are what really set us over the edge every time. Each shake is 24-ounces and served in a tall, aluminum shaker. Chocolate, vanilla, raspberry, or any of the the nine standard flavors are extraordinary, thick and creamy enough to savor and thin enough to suck through a straw without caving your head in. There are 60 flavors of ice cream at Jaxson's daily, and each can also be used in a custom milk shake. It's why we named Jaxson's best ice cream parlor numerous times in our annual Best Of issue.
