No. 60: Breakfast in a Pot from Tom Sawyer Restaurant and Pastry Shop

Biscuits and gravy may very well be one of America's most treasured breakfasts. That is until you top it with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham and cheese and call it a "Breakfast in a Pot" like Tom Sawyer Restaurant and Pastry Shop in Boca did. It's like breakfast on steroids. Except you won't get banned from baseball if you fill your body with it.

Sure, the 25 year-old breakfast and lunch joint also serves up the traditional eggs Benedict that's worthy of some Saturday morning attention. They also offer a croissant French toast topped with powdered sugar that reviewers on Yelp even admit to traveling across the state to chow down on. But it's the homemade jumbo biscuits with a brush of butter, doused in sausage gravy and topped with a 4-egg omelet and cheese inside of a small pot that weighs 1.5 pounds. Unless you're a growing teenager or a professional fighter, finishing the pot is damn near impossible. Either split with a friend or plan on bringing it home for a second round later. Nine dollars worth of breakfast is well worth the portions of two meals.
