Chef Dean Max doesn't have much time to hang out at his flagship restaurant too often -- he's busy overseeing an empire. But 3030 Ocean at the Harbor Beach Marriott is still his baby, and it turns 10 years old this month. So Max is doing the anniversary bash in sophisticated style. Would you expect anything less from the fancy seaside spot?
On December 15 at 6:30 p.m., Max will be on hand as 3030 Ocean not only celebrates a decade of operation but also hosts its eighth-annual fundraiser for the Kids in Distress charity.
The start of the evening includes a champagne reception and a silent auction.
At 7:30, it's time for a five-course meal paired with bottles from the Girard Winery in Napa Valley -- and some special visitors.
Guest chefs for the night include Paula DaSilva (left), who used to run the kitchen at 3030 Ocean before making the move to 1500° at Eden Rock Renaissance in Miami Beach. Niven Patel is driving up from Atlantic's Lodge in Islamorada, and Brad Phillips is coming all the way from the Brasserie on Grand Cayman.
Tickets ($150) are limited and must be reserved by calling Nicole Jackson at 954-765-3129.
