Avril Lavigne is known for her bad little skater girl image more than her culinary skills. To be honest, we picture her getting a burger and shake at the local mall food court as a culinary adventure. It's just something about her black eyeliner that doesn't say "chef de cuisine".

Boy were we wrong!

In this little MTV Buzzworthy video, Avril decorates Christmas cookies and reveals her love for cooking!  Favorite dish to make? Pasta.

The singing mall rat also tells us that she got her start singing Christmas carols and she made a lot of Christmas cookies growing up.  Craziest fan gift? A Wedding dress.

What would Ms. Lavigne want Santa to bring her for Christmas?  A set of professional chef's knives.  Avril, we were so wrong about you.
