BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, a casual brewhouse chain that has five locations in Florida, is expanding to Pembroke Pines.

The restaurant is set to open on September 19 and will serve the usual pub fare of pizzas, burgers, salads, and entrées along with its own line of handcrafted beers.

BJ's features eight regular beers on tap, along with seasonal offerings like Pumpkin Ale. Its beers have consistantly won awards at the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup.

BJ's is currently hiring all positions, and training starts in August. Unlike some restaurants, there's no open call. The process starts through its own hiring website.

Before the grand opening, BJ's will have a "soft opening" where all proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Clean Plate Charlie will fill you in with the details as soon as we hear.

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, 12100 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines.
