Support the independent voice of South Florida and help keep the future of New Times free.
In response to my recent blog concerning rumors of trouble at David Bouley’s Evolution, Nicole Eldridge, Director of Special Events there, sent me the following email. I will only add that I believe her, and am more than happy to squelch the rumor once and for all. --Lee Klein
Dear Lee,
I am in review of the article that came out yesterday in New Times, and
would like to clarify the reason behind our "summer room". We decided
to change the location of the main dining room not for financial reasons,
but to make it a more socially conducive atmosphere -- just like Joe's Stone Crabs does by putting up mahogany panels to reduce their room size room during the summer. Therefore, in answer to your article, we are absolutely not closing, nor is Bouley extricating his name. I am saddened to think that such a rumor is going around.
Warm Regards,
Nicole
