Brew La-La Opens in Fort Lauderdale's FAT Village

Every neighborhood has one of those cursed locations that seem to turn over restaurants, and in the Flagler Arts Village, it's the little cafe in the Avenue Lofts. After a couple failed coffee shops, though, the new one looks promising.

Brew La-La has something the others never got quite right: food to go with your coffee. The new place is serving wraps ($6.95) that include Buffalo chicken, Hawaiian chicken, avocado with mozzarella, and roast beef and bacon. They've also got a panini press turning out Italian grilled cheese, reuben,

chicken pesto, turkey parm, and pesto mozzarella ($7.95). Both the wraps

and the paninis come with a side of dill potato salad, pasta salad, or

fruit. On Sundays, they're serving brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

They've

got coffee too, of course, and a sharp-looking sitting area with

couches and artwork hanging on the loft-like walls. Considering the

place is in walking distance from Clean Plate Charlie central, here's

hoping they reverse the curse.
