I don't know about you, but I want to ring in the new year in style, guzzling champagne and slurping down caviar like a 19th-century robber baron. Preferably wearing a top hat and monocle. And riding a pony. And eating something endangered, like a mountain lion. (Just kidding about that last part!)

Good news is, you can celebrate NYE in style at some of the best restaurants across South Florida, many of which are offering special prix fixe menus, entertainment, lavish buffets, and passed hors d'oeuvres. Top hat and monocle not included.
 

32 East: The Delray Beach eatery is offering a three-course menu with seatings

from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. ($75) and 9 to 10 ($115). 32 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, 561-276-7868, 32east.com.

Athena by the Sea: Say "Happy New Year" the Greek way with surf & turf, Athenian

dancers, a live band, exotic belly dancer Zamara and more. $75 cover

gets you party hats and favors and the complete Divine Feast, fit for

Bahia Cabana:

This Oscar-themed party is $19.95 and includes salmon or crab meat

dinner. Booney Tunes will provide the entertainment. Free party favors

Beach Watch: Order a la carte as usual or try the three course dinner with champagne

for $29.50. From midnight to 12:45 a.m., view the Fort Lauderdale and

The Blue Fish: Sushi, saki and DJ Keith until 4 a.m. Late seating, five-course set

dinner at 9 p.m. for $65. Early seating before 6 p.m., get 25 percent

Cafe Boulud: Daniel Boulud's southernmost restaurant will have two seatings: the

first, at 5:30 p.m., will feature a four-course menu for $90 per

person; the second, at 8 p.m., is five courses for $250 and includes a

China Grill
: Kick off the New Year with a special family-style four-course dinner

menu starting at 9 p.m., priced at $150 per person. Diners will receive

Forte Martini Bar and Restaurant: Forte's New Year's celebration starts at 9:30 p.m. and includes a

The Grateful Palate: Fort Lauderdale's Grateful Palate will offer a party for the senses

this New Year's Eve. Lay back, sip on champagne, and munch on offerings

from the Prix-Fixe menu. $100 for the first seating at 6:30 p.m., $125

Himmarshee Bar and Grill: Prix fixe meals seating at 8:15 and 10:15 p.m., $99 per person (plus

tax and gratuity). Includes a four-course meal with a bottle of

Johnny V: Celebrate with Vinczencz and crew with a special surf and turf menu

served a la carte throughout the night. Free champagne toast and party

Josef's: A special five-course NYE menu features temptations like

crab-meat-encrusted sea bass and grilled veal chops. Reservations

require a $50 deposit, and include a glass of Endrizzi Prosecco di

La Cigale: Prix fixe menu of five courses. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres at the bar

Lips: Join Lips for its second ever New Year's celebration,

including a

three-course fixed price dinner of Lips Salad or crab cake appetizer,

choice of entrée - filet mignon, crab-stuffed salmon or chicken roulade

- and island rum cake for dessert. Enjoy the female illusion show,

hosted by Electra, offering a twist on the usual holiday classics.

Early seating at 6:30 p.m. is $49. The late seating at 9:30 p.m. --

which also includes a champagne midnight toast and party favors -- is

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink: Chef Michael Schwartz is doing a prix-fixe menu after 9 p.m. that

Michelle Bernstein's at the Omphoy
: Michy's new Palm Beach playhouse will serve a three-course NYE menu

with champagne toast for $100 per person beginning at 6 p.m. A party at

the O Bar will feature passed hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and

entertainment for $150 per person. After 9 p.m. dinner bumps to $250

Pavilion Grill: New Year's Eve Dance Party. The Dine & Dance package, from 7:30

p.m. to 12:30 a.m., gets you the deluxe dinner buffet, dessert bar,

champagne toast at midnight, and bagel breakfast for $59.95. The Dance

Party package, from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., includes dessert and ice

cream bar, champagne toast, and bagel breakfast for $29.95. Dance to

Rosey Baby Crawfish and Cajun House: Celebrate the New Year and Rosey Baby's 21st Anniversary Party. Live

musical entertainment. $15 guarantees your seat for prime viewing at

Shooter's Waterfront Cafe
: A NYE Buffet costs $24.95, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Bloody Mary bar and regular

Steak 954: Traditional dinner menu with added specials. The W Hotel proper is

offering an $100 all-access pass between Whiskey Blue and the Living

Room with open bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. 401 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale.

Thira: Regular open menu served until 9 p.m. Special fixed price menu for $85

begins at 9 p.m. and includes live Greek band. Inside and patio dining

available. Midnight champagne toast and New Year's party favors for all

Trina: Trina in the Atlantic Hotel is offering two special NYE menus before

and after midnight with decadent dishes like Komomotto oysters with

sevruga caviar, pan seared foie gras with blackberry reduction, and

butter poached lobster with saffron vanilla sauce. $65 to $80 per

Tryst: Delray's premier beer and tapas joint is doing a 6 p.m. seating for

$60, which includes a four-course meal and champagne. A 9 p.m. seating

Zed 451: $150 for Chef's Selection dinner for two and a bottle of Iron Horse

sparkling wine. Happy hour begins at 3 p.m. Dinner begins at 5 p.m.
