Chef Michael Schwartz Demos Cooking Techniques At Publix

If you've dreamed of running off to cooking school but can't afford the time or money, take a little mini-course with Michael Schwartz, one of South Florida's hottest chefs, next week.

Michael Schwartz, owner of Michael's Genuine Food & Drink and author of the cookbook, Michael's Genuine Food, is demonstrating his cooking techniques at two different Publix locations; in Plantation on March 11th and in Boca Raton on March 12th.

Schwartz is a big proponent of the farm to table movement and he'll take that approach while demonstrating recipes from his book, including crostini with ricotta and apricot jam; citrus-infused crab salad with pink grapefruit, pickled radish and pink peppercorn vinaigrette;  braised chicken with apricots and green olives; herbs cous cous; and banana toffee panini with chocolate sauce.

Chef Schwartz's demonstrations will take place on Friday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Publix Apron's Plantation Cooking School at 1181 S. University Drive, Plantation and Saturday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Publix at Polo Club Shoppes at 5050 Champion Blvd., Boca Raton. Classes are $50 per person.
