In terms of celebrity chefs, some are much bigger deals than others. Yeah, Rachel Ray seems cool enough. And Giada is ridiculously gorgeous. Tyler might have some great cooking tips. But Emeril Lagasse is the real deal. The chef and restauranteur is known not just for his awesome personality -- who doesn't want to hang out with the guy? -- but his food and restaurants are seriously legit.

The celebrity chef has been working on a new show, Emeril's Florida, a 13-episode series on the Cooking Channel, part of which toured South Florida. If you weren't lucky enough to sneak a peek of him in person, we have photos, dates, and details on his visit.

The series, which debuted in January, features food and specialties from across the state of Florida. Three episodes from the series highlight the restaurants, cuisine, and agriculture found in Palm Beach County.

Airing at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday (and again Monday at 9:30 a.m., and again Thursday at 11:30 a.m.) is Florida's Beaches and Waterfront Restaurants, featuring 50 Ocean. Focusing on waterfront restaurants, Emeril visits with chef Blake Malatesta to check out his work.

Starting on Sunday March 1 at 10:30 am (and following up Monday, March 4 at 9:30 a.m. and Thursday, February 21 at 11:30 a.m.), the Palm Beach episode will air. In it, Emeril visits 32 East, Buccan, Guanabanas, the Quantum House, and Swank Farms. Together Emeril and chef-owner Clay Conley of Buccan head to Swank Farms to pick out produce to be prepared at the restaurant. At 32 East, Emeril chats with executive chef Nick Morfogen about sustainable Florida cuisine. Afterwards Emeril heads to Guanabanas to check out the open-air Caribbean-by-way-of-Florida spot to try some food with Jon Sullivan. The episode ends with Emeril teaming up with staff from the Breakers to prepare a meal for the guests of the Quantum House -- an organization that helps children with serious medical conditions and their families.

Big Night Out airs Sunday March 10, at 10:30 a.m. (also Monday, March 11, 9:30 a.m. and Thursday, March 14, at 11:30 a.m.). The episode explores the restaurants of the grand hotels across the state, mostly importantly the Breakers. He chats with Chef Anthony Sicignano inside the hotel's new concept HMF.

And there you have it: Emeril does Palm Beach. Bam!
