At 87 years of age, the former Prime Minister of Britain Margaret Thatcher passed away from a stroke today. Known as the "Iron Lady," Thatcher is best-known for her staunch conservative ways -- the female British counterpart to Reagan.

Whether you agree with her political stance or not, being the first and only female British prime minister, Thatcher deserves a toast for something. With that, we've decided to compile a list of the five best British pubs to raise a pint.

5. The Pub, 2101 SW 145 Ave., Pembroke Pines
This spot earns top marks as the place to be for Anglophiles in West Broward. Traditional British fare is interspersed with fusion dishes, but the beer list is littered with British favorites. Cozy up in the classic wooden interior and recognize the importance the "Iron Maiden."

4. Blue Anchor Pub, 804 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach

One look at the exterior of this place and you'll feel right back at home -- or on holiday -- in the Old Country. The pub, which was actually transported from London, is about as close to Britain as you can get. Sit among the traditional trinkets and paintings of the homeland and have a moment of ale-filled silence for dearly departed Maggie.

3. Ye Olde Falcon Pub, 2867 S. University Drive, Davie

A staple on the booming Davie bar scene, Ye Olde Falcon Pub combines American sports bar with traditional English pub. With a ton of options for draft beer and traditional British pub grub, you're bound to find ample opportunity to toast the fallen Thatcher, the Milk Snatcher.

2. Lion & Eagle English Pub, 2401 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton
Strip malls might be more American than British, but this Boca Raton strip mall pub is as British as they come. Victorian-style fabrics cover traditional communal pub seats while football -- British, not American -- blasts on the tellies. Grab a pint, and cheers to Attilla the Hen.

1. The Kings Head Pub, 500 East Dania Beach Blvd., Dania Beach
Situated in a Tudor-style house, directly on Dania Beach Boulevard, this little pub is a great place to find traditional British fare and, more important, British Beer. Step inside and you'll feel as though you've been transported to a country side British pub. Dark wood and memorabilia from the Old Country line the walls of the bar. The dining room is filled with traditional pub furniture and painted portraits of British figures. Raise your ale to life of the Britain's first and only woman PM.
