4. Grill Party Barbecue

Sundays are the perfect day for lazing around and eating straight off the barbecue. The only problem: cooking requires work. Starting this week and lasting through mid-October, Max's Grille is doing the work for you, holding a weekly barbecue for $24.95 per person. Starting at 5 p.m., guests can choose two meats, such as ½ rack of baby back pork ribs, slow roasted brisket or a quarter of a chicken -- either white or dark meat -- two sides, and a dessert.

Max's Grille is located at 404 Plaza Real in Boca Raton. Call 561-368-0080, or visit

3. Beer Dinner with Funky Buddha Hop Gun

Funky Buddha has been making its way around the Broward beer scene. On Friday at 5:30 p.m., it's heading over to Whole Foods Market Coral Springs for a penny beer night and pub dinner event. The brewery's Hop Gun IPA will be offered to guests for a penny and three dinner specials will be featured for $10.99 a plate. Warren Hill will be playing music onsite.

Birthday parties are supposed to be messy. If it's inspired by Will Ferrell, you know it's going to be a disaster. To celebrate its 14th birthday, Tarpon Bend is holding a Catalina wine mixer to encourage bad decision-making on Saturday at 7 p.m. Jared Michael Hobgood from Irish Kevin's in Key West will be playing party-inducing live music.

Tarpon Bend is located at 200 SW Second St. in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-523-3233, or visit

1. Sultry Spanish Nights

Spain and France might have completely different cultures, but they share a border -- and a penchant for enjoying great food and drinks. As part of its 'Tour du Monde' series of events, Pistache French Bistro is hosting an evening of Spanish-style celebration on Saturday. The event will feature Spanish food and drinks, Flamenco dancers, and guitar players. Dinner is available beginning at 5:30 p.m. with entertainment starting at 8 p.m. A stamp in your 'Tour du Monde' passport gets you free drinks at the next event and a chance to win a trip to France.

Pistache French Bistro is located at 101 N. Clematis St. in West Palm Beach. Call 561-833-5090, or visit
